19th Century Large Antique Hand Forged Brass or Copper Hanging Kettle Cauldron with Wrought Iron Handle Up for sale is a wonderful old hanging antique kettle with a hand forged wrought iron handle. This is a one of a kind item and the kettle doesn’t have any seams at all and has small hammer marks all over. It’s an original hand made antique from the 1800’s. It is very lightweight and thin. Most likely from around 1850 but could be earlier. It has a unique flared lip around the top and the bottom is slightly rounded. It is in amazing condition considering its age. There is an old repair on one side. I believe it is made from copper and it is turning green from age, but there is a slight chance it is brass. But it is very malleable and looks like copper. This was purchased from an old shaker village community in Alfred, Maine. It is almost 20” across by 12” tall. Please see photos for details.
